I was there at 8 p.m. A beautiful place. I can't say anything about the restaurant.

Delicious dishes, clean restaurant, the staff are always very friendly.

Roast goose outside the home. Very good and the portions really sufficient for a good appetite. The sauce and red cabbage are great, and of course the goose anyway. With pleasure again!

Food was excellent - the service was super helpful and not too intrusive. The atmosphere is inviting and a very special one in Hanover. Price performance is definitely right.

Good food, but the service is mixed. For example, it is communicated loudly in the kitchen or cleared around loudly. It is a pity, as this disturbs the very good food and the atmosphere, unfortunately. Furthermore, the price structure is relatively high.

The store has been posted enough already. Great location with a beer garden. Here you can have good food and cocktails etc. A little more expensive but okay in terms of location. Always happy!

A beautiful place. But if a woman is waiting in front of the door in such a restaurant upstairs by the toilet, that doesn't fit the restaurant at all (money)

I'm in Hanover on business this week and after my arrival on Sunday evening I wanted to go to Pier 51 at 6.15 p.m. I called half an hour beforehand asking if I should reserve a table for it. The employee recommended that I reserve a table. Then he asked how many people we were. When he heard that I was coming alone, his voice faltered and he said that he would have to ask again. Shortly afterwards he informed me that all tables were reserved for 6 p.m. A rogue who thinks evil! However, he offered me a table for 8:00 p.m., which I declined in view of the early start of work tomorrow. I am giving the second star because the employee remained calm and polite during the entire conversation, despite my perceptible annoyance.

I had a salad with different fish fillets and a pumpkin cream soup with salmon in front. Both were good and I was satisfied afterwards. The service was very friendly and attentive. Thanks a lot for this. ??

So be careful here .. that you don't fall into the "Masch Meer" .. juicy prices, service magical .. offer semi-dazzling .. culinary art for this small. Büdchen thumbs up .. I thrashed the time with a middle friend in the evening .. half asleep d .. when the bill came .. woke up .. can imagine .. that "man" can celebrate his divorce there and the ex-father-in-law pays again .. smile .. but very pleasant .. A beautiful place to enjoy. The view of the lake and delicious food and drinks will certainly make us plan a new reservation. The seats on the terrace and the careful service alone would be worth coming back.

The carpaccio was top notch. Good cuisine, the ambience right on the Maschsee has a unique flair. The service was always friendly and competent. Until next time!

It is a awesome environment, with very nice food and good staff. The prices are a little bit higher than the usual and the menu misses options.

Tonight we were spontaneously in Hanover and came to the PIER51 with our pug Frieda. We were welcomed very nicely - it was possible to sit outside on the pier without reservation and a bowl of water was brought without being asked. Very good. The service and the food were delicious. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely be back.

One of the best restaurants in Hannover, with the best view of the lake. Food is served faster but not many choices. Would recommend during the evening and Sunset for the best experience of the lake side also enjoying a beer. Could have more vegetarian options.

This is a treat. The food was delicious, plenty and well presented. My starter of mixed fish fillet was more like a main course and simply delicious. The wine list is huge and the one I had fitted the meal nicely. Friendly and efficient waitresses completed a fully satisfying lunch. And, don't forget the setting on a pier in the lake. Will be back for more!!

Excellent restaurant in a very pretty location with handy parking nearby. Always go here when in Hannover. Has a nice relaxed vibe but spacious enough to not feel restricted. Food is very good indeed.

Positive: + nice food + nice view of the lake if you’re lucky to get a good table... Negative: - unfriendly and arrogant service, from the Maitre to the bartenders - dirty bathroom dependencies, they aren’t kept tidy nor clean during working hours (can’t imagine in the kitchen) - some waiters don’t know sorts of Italian coffees or of some spices by name... where do they learn their jobs I keep asking myself? - very difficult to reserve a table. I guess it depends on the mood of the worker you get on the phone... If he or she is in a bad mood which probably happens rather often you’ll be “rejected” right away Resume: There are better restaurants in the neighbourhood. If you really need to eat near the pond, well whatever. It presents itself as “luxury” but is actually knick-knacks bibelots... The luxury isn’t in the “looking” but in the service: friendly, well-paid and taken care of by the owner so that THEY, who represent the venue, will show their best and not their Beast to the customers.

We have been once some months ago. We had really bad experience because the employee was not very kind when we asked gently if could we talk in English. My boyfriend is German and talked to her finally. Wasn’t smile, never say thank you or goodbuy!!! So we consindered this moment as a bad day for this girl and we didn’t keep as a bad experience. Because the spot is really nice we were thinking to arrange our wedding dinner there but even then their reaction was still rude again. We strongly believe that nice spots including nice people. So this restaurant unfortunately is a medium spot!!!

Worst service ever. Couldn't get a stroller through the door, and no one stopped to help. Restaurant was half empty but staff wouldn't seat us because they said tables were reserved for dinner at 6PM. We were there at 3PM. Absolutely ridoculous. Smoke ridden right outside the restaurant and nothing on the menu was available. Been back 3 times now just to see if service has improved. Sad to say Pier 51's days are over.

Great Location and Views of the Lake. Superb for Outdoor Sitting. We were there at 20:45 and we're basically told that the kitchen closes any moment. When we asked to still sit on a table for just drinks, it was denied and we were referred to the - a little uncomfortable seating - at the Bar. Being in the hospitality Industry myself, I experienced the Staff as little flexible and accomodating. They clearly had only the priority to get the evening over with. Sad for such a great place. Maybe just a Snapshot Experience.
